WeGo & ANWG
At meetings or in conversations you may hear these acronyms, WeGO and ANWG. These are organizations that PHG belongs to. PHG has representatives that attend WeGO and ANWG meetings.
WeGO is Weaving Guilds of Oregon. Weaving guilds from all over Oregon make up WeGO. Its purpose is to share information and resources, educate, and promote fiber art throughout the state of Oregon. WeGo sponsors a traveling exhibit every 3-5 years. Website: http://www.wegoregon.org
ANWG is the Association of Northwest Weaving Guilds. It is an association of fiber arts guilds located within the Northwest United States and Western Canada. ANWG provides services and support to its Member Guilds with the idea that combining resources and providing an economy of scale, services can be provided that would not be possible for the individual guilds to provide on their own. ANWG members work together to put on a conference in the Northwest US or Southwest Canada every two years. Website: http://northwestweavers.org
